A carbon footprint analysis of Activeion technology was performed by the University of Tennessee which found using Activeion "results in significant environmental benefits over the impacts associated with using traditional cleaning chemicals" Professor Jack Geibig, Director, University of Tennessee.

The analysis determined that Activeion achieved between 97% and 100% improvement across SEVEN key indicators of environmental sustainability.  For the record, a 15% improvement in just one area is normally considered good.  (N.B. The test data was checked repeatedly because the results seemed too good!)
